Too many doctors...

Unfortunately, mom got not-so-good news from the Dr. yesterday.

It seems that the cancer has spread and is now in the left side of her thyroid, her neck, the lining of her left lung and possibly a spot on her face. The doctor was hopeful yet somber. She has 6 more radiation treatments and then a break. (they cannot do radiation on her head and chemo on her body at the same time because it would be too toxic and probably kill her)

We will go back to the Oncologist on Feb 28 and they will reschedule the scans to check on progress and see where we go from there… She is currently fighting a cold, so pray that gets better because it is REALLY dragging her down…

Thank you for your prayers - more to come later, but I wanted to get the news out...

Hey, Anita. I did not do that thing to automatically get these updates and so have not checked in at least a week. I am up to date now. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I do a little reliving of my own experiences with my mom through your experiences. You are doing and being just as you should for your mom. What a terrific help, comfort and friend you are for your mom through all this. You are probably her sunshine, too, with your wonderful humor. Take time for you and your time of peace in HIS presence, too. Pastor Brad's message this morning was right on target!

Anita,
My family has been praying for you and your mom. I've been through this similar thing with my aunt and grandmother and it isn't easy but i can tell you that the LORD alone will give you the strength to get through moment by moment. I have special memories of you and your family. I remember when i was in high school and i thought you and Paula, Kathy, etc were the coolest. You were older of course but you were someone i looked up too. Wonder why i went off on that tanget??
Praying for you and your family. Asking that God will give you strength in the journey you have ahead and he is beside you all the way.
Love ya
Laura and family.
Praying for you
