Welcome to 2009 - I'm Anita and I'll be your tour guide...

I wish I had the strength to be witty and come up with some creative ways to start out my first real post of 2009. But I don't...

I have been struggling with low back pain off and on since I was a senior in high school, but the last month has been the worst. I had an MRI on Dec. 2 that showed I had some bulging/protruding disks complete with annular tears.

I then took a wee fall, one that I hardly thought was worth mentioning, and the pain worsened. After a visit to Dr. Dusseau, we decided to get a second MRI to see if the fall created more damage. It did.

Tomorrow I will go in for a Laminotomy and some other random back surgery type things. Dr. Dusseau says it is a simple surgery that will take him about an hour. He says I will be up walking the same day! Can you believe that? I will stay the night in the hospital and go home on Friday.

Please pray for wisdom for Dr. Dusseau and for a super quick recovery time! Pray also for Dad & Palwesh - Dad, because it doesn't matter how old I get, I'm still his little girl and Palwesh, because he hates being away while I'm going through this!

I deeply appreciate all your prayers! I'll post a blog as soon as I am cognitive after the surgery tomorrow to give everyone an update...

Many blessings to you and yours in this new year!
